Neil,

How far is Preston away from you?. I've been to this guy twice, once for a complete hood replacement and to fix a rear window. He has an old unit where he does repairs to many cars, mainly hoods and interior (sometimes there are some nice classic cars outside). There's him and 2 old guys which help him.

Both excellent jobs and didn't cost the moon, IIRC it took about 3 hours for a complete hood replacement and was around £120 - this was about 2 years ago.

IIRC my hood cost ~£400 for vinyl with a plastic window.

Cheers

Fitting puts another couple of hundred punds on that price (at Monsoon, anyway)
Which fool/willing volunteer can we get to organise a GB?

I noticed this morning having taken a different route through Romford to work that Carhoods Direct are just around the corner to me. I might be popping it there to see about a cost for a seat repair as they do leather repairs etc according to the signs outside.

To Rob2.2: Why?

Ordered the OEM style with glass screen. £297 Not bothered about going for the more expensive options as the roof is rarely up anyway.

Will probably sort out fitting at the end of this summer

Mark, where did you get your roof from, how much was it, and what sort of time did it take Rob to install it? If you don't mind me asking
My car Is a 2001 and it had the plastic rear screen,

Rob supplied and fitted a second hand roof + frame with the glass screen for £500,

He needed the car for 1 week, but a also had some other bits done, however he supplied a courtesy car while the work was done

When I collected the car Rob was telling me about a mohair roof he fitted to another customers car, and how it was tight as a drum ,

My roof now looks factory fitted, very happy with the job,

from this........

to this..........
