Post New rotas fitted

Finally got around to doing my first mod which was installing a Sony MEX-BT5700U CD unit.

Really pleased with it, I know Sony stuff doesn't always get good reviews but I preferred the look of this unit over other ones in the same category.

Main thing I like is I can play songs from the ipod/ipad without needing wires as it's streamed through blue tooth, and I can also connect my blackberry at the same time to make hands free calls. I also got the connector fitted so that the stereo functions by the steering wheel works.

Next mod is going to be 18inch Rota GTR's which are already on order and arrive this week, will post more pictures when they are fitted. may paint the calipers whilst the rims are being changed over.

If funds allow, next will be an AEM induction kit, although with valentines day looming, it's a tough decision whether to treat the missus, or treat the car.............................will keep you all posted

Pics of stereo and car:

ooh, I like the moonrock with anthracite wheels...

Stick with them and cancel the 18's.....someone in another thread was looking for wheel colour to suit moonrock i think....looks very nice!

Is it just me who worries about putting in aftermarket HU that some scroat will nick it if you leave your hood down? Not worries about the unit, just the mess they can make of the dash!

If you are listening to a CD or music on your ipod, you press Zap and it will play the middle of a song for 5 or 10 seconds, and then change to the middle of the next song for 5 seconds etc.

If you leave it doing that till you hear a tune you want, you press Zap a 2nd time and it starts that song from the beginning

Just a fancy way to scroll through the music to find stuff you like

good job. I still worry they will make a mess of the dash in the hope that the face is under the seat or in the glove box? Happened to my missues car a while back now, but she had to fork out for a new lock and put up with mangled dash, all for the sake of a £100 head unit.

If they had come in the pub and asked me for the stereo I would have given it them save wrecking the car!

You have the 3 upgrades I want for my moony.

So don't cancel the 18s but sell them to me for good price along with the rear spoiler.
