its not the tensioner. I had that replaced 8 minths ago. They are saying the chain needs replacing, they say it is 6 and a half hours labour. Part is about

What symptoms have you got which means they are saying the chain itself needs changing?

Chains used to go slack and need replacing.

New chains (on the S2k and the new VVTi Toyotas) are supposed to last "forever", but I doubt it.

What sort of mileage has been done on the car?
