I'll also ask for confirmation that those bushes have been inspected and greased.
I'd suggest a slightly different approach which worked for me.

Make the sale conditionally of them being able to get full travel of all the geo adjusters. They can throw in a full laser alignment as part of the sale if you push them!

If any bush fails you get your deposit back or they fix it in the price.

I did this on an 18 month old Lime Green one.
Turned out it had seized castor bushes (:
They refuned the deposit rather than cough for the repair

Mikey that's a great idea, at least that way i can walk away and find one that doesn't suffer that problem.

If you remove the bolts and grease them BEFORE they seize can the problem be averted?

That's the plan for me early next month, bolts out and copperslip all over, then more over the end off the bolts when the alignments done.

Bought one.

Sounds nice, feels quicker than the stock ones I test-drove, but still a bit too slow for my taste. So modifications will commence

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome and newbie help!
