Guessing people use the s2k as more of a weekend/summer car? Would it be worth my while buying a cheap car for commuting to work?
So many ideas going though my head, can hardly sleep at night lol

I was averaging 30mpg with my corsa sri and 28mpg with my astra sri so I'm used to getting raped from the fuel prices.
Anything above 25mpg would be manageable.
Prepare to be raped a little more, same kind of fuel consuption (right foot permitting) but it will be drinking super UL.
Used super UL in my corsa because of its turbo.
It's not cheap but it does have it's benefits.

I used mine to go to work and back in for about 4 years - then the commute got a bit longer and 80 miles a day / £400+ a month on fuel plus the tyre cost etc just became too much so i retired it to weekend / pleasure use and bought a beater.

If you enjoy the car - be preared for mid to low twenties for mpg and if you're going to enjoy it, forget about the mpg

Depends on your personal preference I guess.

Many use it as their daily drive, due to the hours I work there's no traffic on the road so I can enjoy the car. If you can't tolerate paying a premium to roll in rush hour traffic then you may want to save it for weekends or nice days.

Garaging it over the colder months will prevent winter taking it's toll on it, in particular frost on the hood or road salt ruining underside of the car if it hasn't been treated. Plus it isn't much fun having the top up permanently for about 5 months.

I'm contrdicting myself here but Super in the S gives you more miles per fill and so can actually work out cheaper.
