Nicks S2k
Hello! I thought I had best do an introduction. This seems like a really good forum, good people and lots of knowledge.
ve been and s2000 owner for a little over a month now. After much hunting around, including driving two hours to near gatwick to view a car that sold moments after we pulled up (and yes, we did have an appointment!), and several hours in the oposite direction to look one that was 3 shades of silver, we finally settled on a 2003 35,000mile S2000 in silverstone, with black leather, a 4 month old roof, refurbed wheels, and a good history, including 3 previous owners that had all bought it from honda either new or used approved. Exactly what we were after, a tidy weekend toy that will hopefully hold its value.
Token picture, at the services on the way home. So far I have just enjoyed driving it, had it serviced, and had a new alarm fitted after the hamilton and palmer setup failed. I have also popped the boot carpet to investigate why it was wet - and its the pesky vent behind the bumper, so thats a little job that needs sorting. Otherwise, at the moment I just plan to enjoy it and tidy up a few little things. Long term I'd like to sort some coil overs and 17s, but for now it has a set of 4000mile old bridgestones on it.
Hoping to do a few track days, and maybe tempt my wife out sprinting in it too. For now its nice to be behind the wheel of a quick and fun road car again!

Sounds like you bought wisely - hope you got a good deal and yes they do seem to hold their value pretty well - in fact seem to be appreciating every time I look Welcome along and enjoy ! Where are you from ? (trying to work out where places are that are two hours from Gatwick and that you can travel for several hours the other direction) Dorset / Wiltshire somewhere maybe ?

Thanks for the welcome.
Im from Petersfield, Hampshire. The price was OK, not a bargain, but not OTT. At the end of the day I couldnt see myself finding one much better in budget.
Some pics of past cars. My old 4.2 S8
A4 2.8 Quattro (on A8 sport rims)
Still got this one, a work in progress. Its a Reliant Scimitar SS1 that I use for hill climb and sprints.
The BBS and toyo proxes are only for rolling it around, its going to be 13x8 Alley cats with michelin slicks.

Thanks! Theres a few competeing the scimitar club championship. Mines been to Curborough, wiscombe, goodwood and a few events with Farnborough Motorclub. My brothers (in the background) has also been to a few in the midlands.
Ive ordered some S2K tuning floor mats as I currently dont have any.
Some S2000 seem to have a different rubber rear aerial. is this an OEM part? I currently have the long whip one. I know some of the smaller ones can be a bit rubbish, so want to get one that actually works.
