Just had a phone call from the plod, some youths have decided to put a gas canister through the window of my hard top. Great news

Apparently it was caught on CCTV, but doubt that'll make any difference at catching them. Insurer opens in 15 mins so I'll see what they say when I ring.

Witness told me he saw 3 kids pick up a gas canister that was discarded on the pavement (why???), smash the window and run off laughing. It's just mindless vandalism they weren't even trying to break into it

Bear in mind the second you tell the insurance company they log the incident and it will affect your insurance at renewal - it doesn't matter if you don't actually claim.

If you think you may fix things withojt it going through insurance then check that out before you mention anything to them.
