Nordschleife 8.58 BTG
I did the Nordschleife XL driver training course this week. It's a one and a half day course. The first half day you do a theory in the class room which to be fair was a joke. Then it was a bus ride on the ring and a track walk. That was interesting. Never really knew how steep some of the track is.
Then onto the driving. In the morning you are in groups of 5 or 6 and you follow the instructors car in a convoy with no overtaking. Afternoon was open pitlane with full D/H straight.
Here's a lap from the afternoon. It's not perfect. I drop out of vtec at hohe acht and have a little traffic at the hatzenbach but overall im pleased as it's a standard car apart from lowering springs

Nice one, bet that was a pretty penny as well! One of the things I remember well about my first and only Ring Trip was how steep some of the track is, one thing Gran Turismo doesn't give you!

Very impressed with that lap!
Loved having mine on there, and can't wait to go back!
Didn't know they did training courses though. Had you had any previous 'Ring experience? Or was it your first time out there?

Nice clean lap dude. I had my MCB S2000 over there at beginning of the month - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3-A01dCnS8
Did the two day training workout cheaper than normal track days at ring?

Thanks for the replies. I have been a few times before.
Have driven around 60 laps prior to this trip. I could only do one date this year so it was either the training day or 2 hours of tf in the evening.
It's not cheap. €995 which includes food and one night in the Linder hotel.
If your new to the ring then yes the training days are great.
If your semi decent then your prob better off with a private track day

The S is my first RWD drive car too, but if you get used to it on the road and know how it handles and how to get the best out of it you'll be fine
I gave it death around the corners and it hung on really well.
Drive at your own pace and you'll get it round. After the first few corners you start to get a feel for it and settle down. Well, in my experience/opinion anyway.
