Tentative "yes" from me Jason. I've just spent a small fortune on ICE and the wife is still a little wary of letting me run the car on a track (she loves it too much for me to say I crashed it... uninsured )

Can you remind me how much it is to insure the car for the track?

Cheers!

Chirs,

Insurance options vary, check if your covered by your own insurance, it may be that your covered with a large excess i.e 5K, if thats the case then you could take out On Event insurance for the day just to cover the 5K. For my last 2 days I've paid

I'd like to come along but only as a spectator!

Oulton's only a relative spit from here. I've driven single seaters there.

An airfield day is cheaper and the potential damage is smaller (provided you don't hit another car). I was booked to do Elvington on the 12th Jan (just outside of York) in the S2000, however, it now looks like I'll be doing it in the Impreza again!

Airfield days are hard on tyres, but as it's likely to be either wet or icy Elvington shouldn't be too bad.

The stupid S2000 project Nutter will be there too. Complete with new steering rack and decent roll bar.
