Default NW dealers for service

I'm coming up to the 18k service, and need to know a good dealer in the NW.
I live in south Manchester, anyone have any suggestions as to who's best round here. There don't seem to be any local in the satisfaction survey.
Does anyone know about Gordons in Bolton as thats near work?

Any help appreciated

ALM in Macclesfield are used by a few people on here. I used them for my 18K service and they did a reasonable (if unspectacular) job. May be a bit further south than you'd like though.

I think there are at least a couple of people who use Clarkes in Altrincham, although I'm not sure what the feedback is like.

Bought Kathryns 2nd CTR from Gordons at Bolton. But for servicing nothing will be shifting us from Greenacre, Clitheroe - superb service!

LL and Fieldl use ALM
Moggy uses Altrincham but IIRC he is not too happy with them
I use 2Mills @ the end of M56 (other end ) but again unspectacular

Honda Service only place called Barbers in Northwich?

So there are some OK ones but no good dealers round here, by the sounds of it. Would really like to have someone who knows the car well.
A mate of mine has a garage in macc and has done all the work on my previous cars but they were older than the S. He always has done a good job, the only reason I haven't taken it to him is the warranty issue, i know it's not supposed to be an issue anymore, but you know what it's like when you try to claim. If there aren't any good local dealers then perhaps I will rethink.

Phoenix, it's even further afield for you but Holdcroft Honda in Stoke comes with a big from Pie'n'Chips, who has used them a lot. They have one of Honda's Master Technicians there who apparently knows the car very well. Only another 15 miles or so further afield than Macc - depends how anal you are about the car, I guess!

At my last service with Holdcroft I asked them to replace the transmission oil. They did this

However this was not required at that interval (27k)

What was required was the LSD, but they did not change that

I went back in to challenge them as the box was not ticked.

Told by the service manager that it was not necessary and that the interval had changed to 12k for the S

So Holdcroft not necessarily in everyone's good books
