Default OEM High Rise Spoiler

Hi all,

I've recently bought a OEM high rise spoiler, I found a good thread with the templates to fit it, however, I was wondering if any of you that have the spoiler, could take some photos of the underside of the tailgate so I can see how it fits.

I've read a lot about larger wings causing damage to tailgates ect with high downforce they generate, and I have seen the reinforcement fittings you can get for the underside of the boot lid.

I know this spoiler will not create half as much downforce as a full blown GT wing but just want to be sure that I don't fit it and it rips off into the car behind =)

Honda supply the wings with a fitting kit but they are not sold separate.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Have a look for my thread think it was 'oem low level to high level spoiler'. There's some photos on how I made my own templates as the downloaded ones weren't the correct size.

For what I can remember the 2 holes for the bolts sit right where the rubber adjuster is for the bootlid, if you take them out the hole is in the centre of where you've just removed the rubber.

I'll have a look for you tonight to make sure though cos it's been a while!

Hi my advice would be to drill the two outer (used by the low spoiler ) first as these are clearly marek and are easy to drill from underneath whereas you would wand to drill from above for the inner two as you can't mark them underneath due to the access.

Once you have drilled the two outer then I would follow my method as it was really simple and the holes matched perfectly

Ah good find on the fitting instructions, just been to half press to pick up the various nuts and screws and washers. It's off at the shop now to get painted so probably get it on tomorrow
