Failed on my 2001. Front arb link corroded and fell apart

going to replace both

edit so i went to look at the gov site. Its hardly clear but it seems i can drive it, if its fixed and safe and my existing MOT is valid...

Driving a vehicle that’s failed

You can take your vehicle away if your MOT certificate is still valid.

If your MOT has run out you can take your vehicle to:
  • have the failed defects fixed
  • a pre-arranged MOT test appointment
In both cases, your vehicle still needs to meet the minimum standards of roadworthiness at all timesor you can be fined.
and now passed. The ARB links are shite, they have an allen key head in the centre of the thread which rusts and cannot take the torque so you have to cut them off. Pita

Passed Thursday, no advisory, best bit £25. Rear tyres just under 4mm so now looking for replacements to store until required for the summer fun, no mms available so far may have to stick to non specific B/stones.

With numbers like that it makes you wonder why we get so arse shafted with the road tax.

Thinking about it at the MOT is all online now it would be easy to "personalise" your road tax, mileage reported on the MOT times Co2 emissions but that would cause a loss of revenue. We need to go back to the old chestnut, put it on the price of fuel.
