you mean it has a longer working life, or less oil topups between an oil change boab?

imo oil is oil. aslong as it's the right weight and oil spec (mineral, semi or full synth), then either cheap halfords or expensive mobil will do
You are SO wrong

Some might say Opie's technical praise has been won from copy and pasting stuff from the internet, and thereby winning appeal from the lesser informed

I bought a shit load of Halfords 5w40 fully synthetic when it was on 2 for 1. Good job really as it lasted half the time of anything else, it really was like water.

If you do go to oipe oils, dont be fooled into buying an S2000 filter from him.... buy a genuine Honda one.

I bought an S2000 specific filter from Opie after double checking it was 100% right for the S2000 and with no hesitation he said it was the best filter for the S2000..... same filter he would supply for my ford....

Needless to say i didnt fit it too the S2000, it might be a good filter but I would only recommend a Honda one, especially after recent events with non honda filters.

Interesting, because I did the same to put in my Primera. It sounded nice and smooth, but it seems to get through a litre ever 2 weeks. I thought it was just the car - maybe I need to invest in some better stuff for it.

veehexx - I used to think like you about oil.

Google for multigrade oils info.

Read what Wikipedia has to say.

Tribology is a highly complex subject and merits further study before you form an opinion. At least IMHO.
