I don't drive fast all the time, but a few members have followed me out on a run & would be able to testify that I can push a tyre

I've just gone for Falken FK452's. I'll see how they fair in this awful, cold weather.
They are excellent on my mother's Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti Prodrive Version 7 Bugeye Type Uk
See how they are on the S2k.

Thought I'd update this thread with some thoughts about my tyre choice......
I went for the Hancooks and, despite some initial scepticism, they've proved to be a massive improvement over the potenzas. They're a little softer, but that's actually allowed me to soften the rear suspension as well, presumably because the tyres soak up more of the bumps and don't work the suspension so hard, so I don't need the shocks set to stun to stop the back end getting too bouncy.
The Hancooks really do show the Bridgestones up for the miserable, lifeless rubbish I always thought they were (apologies in advance to all the OEM fans who will complain so bitterly about that statement).
Unfortunately, I still have potenzas on the front and it's completely screwed the balance of the car, as proved by my inability to keep up with Outtametree on one of our regular A&B road blasts at the weekend, which brings me on to the most important point.......... having driven his car (running Kumho Ecsta's at half the price of Bridgestones and about 60% of the cost of Hancooks) back to back with mine, I can say the Kumhos wipe the floor with both the other brands for grip and feel & feedback.
I've always been a tyre snob, but I know where my money will be going next time.
Anyone want to buy a pair of nearly news front MZ050's?
