Hmmm, its such a chunky unit it must be pretty hard to hide... maybe Cedric's idea of in the cupholder could be close to the money but it would be hard to see on the move (my arm would cover it)

I assume it has an audible warning, so would it matter if you couldn't see it??

It does have a beep and voice alert. I believe the voice says, "Jesus! Hit the brakes; there's a ****ing speed camera dead ahead!

LOL. The cup holder location would be great if possible, as with the flap down it would be out of sight altogether. Handy when P.C. Holy Grail sticks his head through your drivers window. Regardless of how the legality issue pans out these things can be a red rag to a bull to some traffic cops.

I had to take an almighty bollocking from a young fuzz in a panda car the other evening. He looked about 12 years old and had a severe attitude problem. He said he'd clocked me at 42 in a 30!

I managed to bite my lip despite the fact that he really couldn't do sod all about it, being on his own in the car and not having the calibrated speedo necessary to knock off speeders. On the other side of the coin about a week ago a traffic cop on a big bike pulled alongside me at lights. I had my window down and he looked at the car and said "Wheeeeew!! When the lights changed he was gone like a bat out of hell!

Bad cop / good cop.... anyone can have a chip on their shoulder

I've only ever been pulled over once, about 4 years back on the M62, and the genuinely nice copper said he had no worries about my driving but was concerned someone else less aware could pull out on me... didn't even do an ownership check or producer and sent me on my way!

Strange but true....

And there you have it Tif:

Anyone with half a brain knows the problem on motorways isn't speed, it's the brain donors who don't know what lane discipline means and haven't found the indicators yet! The 70 limit was brought in purely to cater for these drongos. O.K. You're getting me started now! I'm out!
