Looking to get a radar detector asap and not sure which one to buy, i've seen a few bods on here have b2's, can anyone enlighten me on which one to get....??

Valentine 1 is a radar detecor whereas as the Origin is GPS based. Valetine is therefore able to help you with mobile radar operated sites whereas the Origin is going to warn of you of DS2 sites and other places where no signal is given out which can be detected by the Valentine. I preferred the Origin.

Plus the Origin can have attachments for Radar and Laser IIRC

Had heard rumours that the Laser/Radar detector kits were bing made illegal (although GPS systems would still be legal)

Anyone know if there's any truth in this?

I have both a B2 and a V1. They're both very good bits of kit. However, if I had to make do with one I'd probably go for the B2 - it has a laser detector supplied with it and has the functionality to add a radar detector as and when Origin release it.

Valentine is rated as the best Laser detector there is. It picks up laser from both front and rear.
