Default Out door covers

Can anyone recommend me an outdoor cover?

My car is tucked up through the worst of the winter, but currently has to live on the drive during the summer months when it's in use. Whilst I'm planning a new garage I'd like to wrap it up to protect it from the worst of the wet weather.

Must be:
Breathable material
Waterproof
Have soft lining
Be a snug fit

What is good? What's best avoided? Pics if you have them please!

Car has no wings/spoilers/appendages besides mirrors...

Thanks in advance!

Check this thread out: http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/1152...#entry23961187

Nearing the end of the thread is info on the cover I use... Stormforce. But be aware of the faff of using it regularly. It's all about the condition and cleanliness of your car when you put a cover on.

If you put any cover on a slightly dirty car the dirt no matter how fine and even dust can and will rub your paintwork. If you put on a wet car you're helping the rusting process....

My 2p worth... Only use a cover if you're going to put it on for at least a few weeks. It's a lot of faff to take on and off frequently especially if you're taking a wet cover of your car....

thanks, the stormforce one looks good.

Interesting points regarding how long it takes to put it on and off and keeping the car clean. I was hoping to be able to pop it over a clean and dry car to keep it that way, but in reality its probably not clean enough unless its straight after a wash - which wouldnt be practical.

Certainly still a consideration for this winter, when the car lives in an open fronted barn for 4-5 months so away from the rain but not protected from dust and fog.

Another option is a soft top only cover for the summer - to keep the leaves out of the drains and the cat hair off the soft top, but I'm worried about these rubbing on the at edges at the back of the bonnet / top of doors / front of boot lid.

Yeah the Stormforce straps underneath are always a PITA (although when you get down to it doesn't take that long) you'd not want to do it daily. and it has introduced swirl marks over the winter despite being put on after a wash, clay and wax.

If I had the room I think I'd go for a car tent next https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/clar...nt-garage-gre/
