Default Panel VIN number stickers?

i'm looking at replacing my Elise with an S2000 so have been researching for the last few days.

i've seen a number of videos which highlight the ten stickers around the car with the VIN number printed, so you can be sure that each of these panels have not been replaced.

However, I looked at a car this afternoon that had none of the VIN stickers, not one - neither door, door jam, bonnet, boot, bumper...

does this his mean every panel has been replaced?

or that the 10 VIN stickers are just a U.S. thing, as the videos that I've seen were from the States?

In my eyes the best one! I drove a K series S1 and an S2 190 and much preferred the S1 with less power!

That's lovely.

What are they worth nowadays?

I have been toying with selling my S2000 to make way for an Elise

Values have risen a lot in the last year for any Elise, a low mile standard S1 can fetch £18K these days...
