I love a good thread revival, my PlusGas has run out and looking to replace with either the same or something better for helping with any rusted bolts; Holts DL110 seems to crop up a lot, but there are a couple of brands I really trust with other products like Bilt Hamber (Ferrosol) and Wurth (Rost Off PLUS/BLUE ICE/BLACK) - any new UK favourites out there now we've moved on a few years from this original thread?

Project Farm did a comparison of some common ones. R&T site did an article using that info as the reference. There are others on the market not covered in the comparison, but mostly what I got from it is there is not really a night and day difference between them really.

Cheers, l liked his reviews of engine oil and looking for a few more youtube vids as I think I've watched the entire internet by now - tbh I think you're right - there's no magic bullet and buying by volume/cost might be a good option
