Right stop reading at page 2, 150 Bhp at the wheels, and they get 27% increase, hmm 190 all of a sudden, the MINIMUM the Americans / Aussies are getting out of a stock S2000, I remember this in the 'bigger' forum, everyone pissing themselves laughing at it.

Actually there is a power gain from the Exhaust, by using Amuse Ti single exit, but you will be arrested 100 yards down the road because of the racket apparently.

I don't understand - arn't they saying on p.2 that they get 236bhp at the flywheel, but there is a 35% reduction at the rear wheels when running on the dyno?

A bit massaging of figures to make theirs look good me thinks.

236 / 237 Bhp at the flywheel as quoted by Honda (I don't think these lot bench tested it!!)

Most of the spanner heads in the US forum reckon Drive train losses are between 15 to 20 % (35 Bhp to 47 Bhp) thus 190 to 202 which is what the most of them are seeing, drive train losses are likely to be similiar actually model to model, power outputs porbably give the discrepancies, but certainly no where near the 35% losses they dream up in this snippet.

losses would increase if you start putting in a bigger clutch, different gearing etc, and losses of 35 % in big old V8's are probably something they dream of!

Like I say, a bit massaging, power on the Dyno's could be even 'correct' as if they test it in one gear (2nd? 6 th?) then the optimum gear next (4th the spanner men reckon) you could get some differences!

Either way, you would find the Q would stretch for miles if they managed to get 27% increase in N/A form on standard S2000's!
