Default Photographs Wanted

I have volunteered to help Veloce Publishing produce an Essential buyers guide for the Honda S2000.
I would be grateful for anyone who could either send me pictures of any issues they are experiencing with their cars such as area's of corrosion,
or contact me if you live in the North East where I could arrange to come along and take some pics myself.

Hopefully the book will be helpful to future purchases of the S2000, but in any event, more publicity can only have a positive effect on values.
Look and seen how much they fetch n the USA just now.

Thanks in anticipation,

Snakecharmer, how much info do you already have on the S2000? There seems to be a lot of articles on buying S2000's with many of those articles having wrong info as the writers haven't done proper research................AP1 / AP2 is a good example on many articles.

Guys, thank you for your prompt replies. I have had my S2000 for just over two years and read just about everything there is about the car
and even learned some stuff I have found out myself about my immobiliser system that even your local Honda dealer does not know. However,
I have just declined the offer to go ahead with this project as it is self funding and the royalties on £3.87 per book, (Amazon) the publishers
contract and deadlines etc, mean I would probably go bankrupt.

I live in Stanley and as yet have never met another S2000 owner. Call in for a coffee if you are passing. I Have just published my own book though, Touring France with the Honda S2000.
Amazon Amazon

Best Wishes

Don't **** up the ap1 ap2 shit.
issues:
tct
rear arches rust, rubber lip holds shit against metal
lack of owners cleaning softtop drains
Rear diff mounts fluid filled and leak
rear bumper sagg
fog light bracket rusts
diff and prop is made of chocolate
09 engines blow up, LG may be able to add more here
Older engines pre 2002 (?) Oil bolts undersized and should be upgraded to new ones
retainers can crack on older engines best to upgrade to ap2 retainers and not new UK retainers as these are the bloody same part
aircon rad falls to pieces
geo bolts not greased so budget 1k for sorting this out if no geo done in the history
shit tyres
calipers are nissin wank and seize
rubber brake hoses can perish and flex making shit feed back. Hard lines rust
interior rattles like a bitch
seat bolster wear
clutch notchy needs slave rod smoothing
new models issues with engaging 2nd when cold
clutch master cylinder likes to turn the fluid black and leaks
boot leaks from air vent
roof leaks in various locations
cabke from heater matrix control in bay can come loose from interior apparatus meaning no hot or cold air control
honda failed to remove suspension transport rubbers causing people to drive the car backwards through hedges

sure some others can expand on the above or correct some of the information.

pps will hunt my photos for you

A couple of corrections/updates to Mike's excellent list:
  1. Calipers do not seize if serviced regularly.
  2. Brake hoses are perfectly fine.

Just purchased Kindle version, look forward to reading!

I have driven through France to Spain a few times in my S2000 and it always gets a lot of attention and thumbs up from the French :-)
