Whilst looking at the carpet around the cross bar in the drivers footwell I noticed that it doesnt fit very well, this is due to a box under the carpet under the front of the seat. I assume this is the old Hamilton and Palmer alarm ECU. If thats what it is, this is redundant on mine so will be removed. That alarm fitter said that was the only bit he left in there.

Are they all like this, with the box meaning the carpet fits badly between the seat and cross bar?
