powder coated brake calipers
I decided to get my calipers painted as after looking at others which have been painted by hand it seems it never lasts, so i checked into it and got mine powder coated.
Costings for this are.

They will last almost anything they assured me, powder coating can take heat without problem, have had them rather hot already on a long three hour drive which caused no problems.

Can you please give me the company name and number? I'll give them a call and speak to them. Will they remove the callipers and put them back on as well. I really don't want to do all that by myself plus the bleeding which will be required after the job is done. I also have been told by most people in the past that although powder coating is cured at high temeratures the callipers will not hold up to 4-500 C which you get on trackdays so I need to verify this with them too.

powder is normally stoved at about 200 degrees celcius. it will discolour at anything over 250 and will start to bubble, flake and possibly burn (dependant on colour) at anything over 300. i would be very interested to know what temps brakes run at on a trackday. my alloys were too hot to touch with the bare hand after a few fast laps at donington and my brake discs were starting to blue. steel starts to blue at about 200 degrees so i would be very interested to know what temps the brake pads get up to on a track day.

Good facts there mate. I have brkae paint on my callipers and this is resistant to 250 C. The thin edges and edges in general of both the front and rear callipers burnt off. I am waiting to get G2 paint which was ordered 3 weeks ago which promises to be 600C.

Okay, however I think that if you add up the time and effort spent trying to do this, you'd have been cheaper buying some fit for the purpose.
ABS? Who needs that, just learn to cadence brake.
