Default Power Improvements

Right so... id love to go supercharged or turbocharged but I don't see that as being realistic anytime soon.

Therefore, Im trying to work out what I can do N/A, which I think for track driving will make more rewarding improvements.

I'm feeling the 'list' would be, induction, exhaust manifold, sports cat, cat back exhaust (dual exit) and a new ecu with an appropriate map.

I've done a little bit of research, and I just would appreciate some guidance !

Induction
I'm feeling either a J's Racing or Mugen intake will give the best results for power

Manifold
Mugen, Spoon, or J's Racing seem to be the better ones?

Sportscat
I saw a Berk group buy but missed out on this... do these pass MOT's and are road legal?

Cat Back Exhaust

Again, it looks like Mugen, Spoon and J's Racing seem to be the way to go.

ECU

Not really got a clue here... Hondata? J's? Spoon? Mugen?

Overall

Ideas on cost and performance (dyno graphs would be really interesting to see where the gains are etc.

Finally... and most cheekily... has anyone got these mods and would be willing to let me have a look round their car, a listen.. and if possible a passenger ride?

How much money you got, you'll need lots.

I would say i have one of the most powerful S's N/A wise on here along with a few others too (I'm sure Dave.B's in the most tuned N/A S). I researched quite alot, but i didnt want to spend lots either remember you'll get little gains, but is the car better afterwards?...yes for sure responsive wise, drivability etc.

IMHO if you have a bit of cash to spare:

Induction
J's Racing, the tumour type one

Manifold
J's Racing

Sportscat
A decat

Cat Back Exhaust

J's Racing or amuse, better still a 70mm single pipe.

ECU
AEM > J's racing

You forgot the final drive!, which would be the best bet first.

Overall

Cost: roughly 3k. Performance: better MPG, smoother power delivery, slightly more torque throughout the powerband, more BHP at the wheels, smoothed fueling.

My car:

Induction: K&N filter mated with a snorkle and spoon mod to airbox, custom made to remove restriction at the bonnet point.
Exhaust: Slightly larger piping from the Y bend to magnaflow backboxes.
ECU: Spoon ECU
Manifold: Megan/japspeed
Gears: Ricks 4.57r
Slight weight drop around 40KG when finished
06shocks with swift springs and geo sorted, coming soon.

200WHP, that was without the induction and backboxes - which i dont will make much difference anyways

Remember dont forget about the handling too!
