Default Products to seal pipe/connector

Guys,

To cut a long story short, i knicked the braided oil return line (broke a few wires) from the SC to the sump when rebuilding my SC . I blew air through the line and thought i was good to go, but it turns out i am not as i have a small leak.

I think now from cleaning the line etc, its 'just and so' pulled the tubing inside from the connector. I really cannot be bothered going through the agro of pulling the SC off again . Does anyone know if there any products i can buy to seal the connection?

It leaks at the bottom of the red connector.

Cheers

Cant you just remove and refit the oil line AJ?

Sometimes with those hoses havent been put together so well and after a bit to much fiddling they develop a leak,

hope that helps

Leaking at the bottom of the red connector sounds to me like the hose has worked away from the 'socket'

Yep that's a replacement job I think, Aj.

Speak to Dixon as he can sort you out with HEL stuff. Or call Merlin Motorsport / Demon Tweeks.

If it's the drain line to the sump, you can probably bodge it temporarily, but leaks only get worse and you don't want that one popping off!

They look like compression fittings so a strip down and clean should fix it, failing that check lock tight catalogue they will have something

Unless these are re-usable fittings and not swaged together there is not a lot you can do, if if will split between the red and blue bits a little ptfe tape may help but I reckon it's FUBER'd, sorry.

AJ measure the size/length, Ive got loads of AN/JIC 10 fittings lying around if you decide you need to replace.
