Default Quick Hello

I thought it was about time I registered on here, and said hello!

Basically after nearly 9 years, I've 'just about' sold my DC2 Integra Type-R, and I'm looking to jump in to an S2000.

I'm just waiting for the V5 to be returned to me, so the new owner can collect and pay the cash!

....then I'm on the lookout for a facelift S2000.

I've owned the DC2 for nearly 9 years (and I'm forum admin for itr-dc2!) so have grown quite fond of it, it's going to be hard to say goodbye, but I'm hoping the S2000 will offer a new ownership experience and something I can get genuinely excited about again.

I'm fairly handy with the spanners, and have been driving Hondas for 12 years now, so I have a good idea of what to look out for and avoid, but no doubt will be looking for advice and guidance where needed.

The current battle in my head is - hardtop vs no-hardtop....

So yeah, I can't wait and hope I'm not too much of a pain in the arse!

and welcome. Buy an S2000 with hardtop if you're going to drive it through the winter. I would get claustrophobic with soft top on most of the winter. Bigger rear window of hardtop will help with that. There's no need for hardtop if it's going to be your weekend / good weather car. Good luck with your search!

Welcome!

Did you take the DC2 to any of the Honda / Jap shows ??
Have you been to or seen the S2000 stands at any of the shows?

Are you interested in joining us for the shows in 2014?

Minvo

PS: Just posted up a thread in the meets section for Japfest next year!

Cheers guys.

I used to do the shows etc a lot, but a love for downhill biking/freeride biking has meant my spare time gets taken up (and money for mods!).

I could be interested in coming along to chat to some S2000 peeps, hopefully I'll be smitten by the car by then!

Need to find a car next.....

Get a hardtop and a supercharger and you will soon forget about your DC2.

Gary Lythgoe. That's a name from the past. I was eRATic on itr.

Quite a few of us on here have had dc2's in the past so you might recognize a few names on here. Be good to catch up sometime.

If you want to come and have a look at mine as a benchmark the kettle will be on. I'm still out near Bedford. Is Phil from Langford still about.

Blast from the past or what!

Definitely bud, I'm over your way quite a lot, I'm always at Chicksands/Shefford/Arlesey etc.

What spec AP1 have you got?

I don't speak to Phil as much as I used to, we kinda drifted apart a bit, but he's driving a couple of BMW's at the minute, very recent M-Sport 3series and his missus has a 1er now.

Glad to see there are ex-DC2 owners on here!

Can always get a hardtop at a later date. I have just brought my second s2000 and wanted the hardtop as I think looks cleaner than a rag top lol. But I choose an s2000 without one because it was the better option by far due to milage and condition.
