Default Quick Speaker question

Hi all,
Head unit upgraded, now time for the speakers. Ive searched a lot but would appeciate a confirmation that these Alpine Type Rs will be a straight swap with the standard speakers: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpi...7c-p-5663.html
They are 6.5 inches wide and 59mm deep.
Big thanks for any help!

Link provided in FAQ's...

Might be worth sending Alpine a quick email.

I have Alpine Type R, equivalent size I believe. Yes they do fit BUT you need a lucid/mdf spacer as they are quite deep and they catch slightly on the electric windows when going down.

do you need some sort of plug adaptor for the wires ofr should I stop being lazy and read the FAQ?

Any thoughte on wether I would be better upgrading the speakers or adding an under seat supb for a bit more punch?
