Can someone tell me the mounting depth of the standard speakers? save having to buy spacers.
The OEM speakers are 6.25" diameter and are contained in "baskets" that space them out from the door ~10mm.
The performance of a speaker is directly related to the volume of air it can move and that is a function of their depth.
Not spacing aftermarket ones will give them less volume and performance than the OEM's.
Assuming you can find some to fit
A step backwards I guess!

i'm sorry and don't want to cause an argument but that statement is absolute tosh it has nothing to do wether or not you have spacers fitted to your speakers.

No but it is to do with the depth of the cone and magnet arrangement.
Anyway the point I was making is Honda use a spacer for a reason!
I put systems in to 7 S's and would never do itwith out the spacer.
Each to their own

I would be interested to know how you get on with these, I have got the stock head unit and was thinking about upgrading my speakers.
Anyone know of these would be a good choice ?
Cheers
