Its a shame to have been broken down for spares, the guy that owned it before obviously took pride in the car, and must of spend thousands on it within a short time, i cant imagine him getting anywhere near back what he has paid out to buy the car/mod it in the first place!

I didn't like what he had done to it personally mod wise, but as long as he was happy with it what does it matter what others think!

at least the shell will live on as a proper track car though! seems a bit OTT to be changing the engine, why not just mod the f20c? and sell the k20, unless the k20 was proper built for big power other than the ITB?

I can see why Mikey is going K20.

More available options and cheaper to develop, cheaper to buy, responds better to mods etc. it's also a better engine standard vs standard imo.

i know the k20 is easier to get power, and cheaper, but didnt know it was a better engine? but the hassle of swapping the engine could of just SC the f20c?

I just like the K20 engine and like doing things a bit differently. The ivtec system is a bonus compared to fixed timing on the F20, so is regular steel liners!. But ultimately many more build and power options for the K series particularly in NA form (as Im just not a fan of FI).

I'll be using the Ballade kit which uses Innovative mounts

good to see another s2000 getting turned into a race car!

Also very interested in how you get on with the ballade kit.

How does this affect you for racing? Straight into a sports libre type class due to different engine block?
