Two infact, but not at the same time.
First one, a Mtec Z3(the fast one)

Going along a dual carriageway this Z3 comes past me, not overly fast. The road clears and its just me and him on the dual carriageway, the road starts to turn into a sweeping lefthander that's about 1/2 mile long. So now he's moved into the left lane and I've moved in to the right lane. He boots it and so do I. Nothing in it at first, but then the Beemer gets to the top speed he thinks he can take this sweeping left hand bend and I'm catching on the outside. I was going pretty fast and had at least 4 car lengths quickly and pasted him. Well shocked and chuffed the S out handled the Z3, I know the Z3 isn't meant to handle very well, but it was still good blasting past on the bend

Then we were approaching the round-about and this piece of junk car has blocked the round-about in the straight ahead lanes, so we both slow down. He's directly behind me now in my lane and we wait for the car to move. I gave it plenty of revs from a very slow rolling 1st gear start. Vtec all the way from 1st to the top end of third on a dead straight road. I look in the mirror and he's got the legs on me no problem and closes the 15m gap easily. Bummer.

Then the traffic gets in the way and spoils out fun, I turn off and give a friendly wave and grin, he does the same .We go our separate ways.

Again another Beemer, but this time its over quicker and it

If there really is nothing between us and the new M3's how comes they have a 0-100 time of 12 secs and all the magazines rave about their performance?

I wouldn't say there's nothing between us and M3's, but you'd need something pretty quick to show much difference once rolling, plus it was up hill and this can't have helped a lardy M3 either.

I've raced bikes in the S and of course they pull away on the straights, but not in the same way you'd expect a fast bike to pull away from standing start.
