So this power outlet is good for what? I wanna power a GPS off there. Does the manual mention the use of the outlet?

jazzboss,

GPS, radar detectors, phones should all be ok, as they use very little current (they don't get hot).

Cigarette lighters do, so they would blow the fuse.

The location of the power outlet is pants for powering anything on a long journey. If there's anything plugged into it then it restricts the distance your elbow can move backwards.

It's almost, but not quite, as pants as the cup holder location which means you can't change gear.

But you didn't buy it for it's interior did you? Forget the GPS etc, if you see a quiet road you'll turn down it and feel the noise

Oh, and invest in pampers for your passengers.
