Default Radiator

Hi All...

My S2000 has been off the road for a year now SORN'd... in the process of getting it put back into decent order so want to upgrade/update it a bit as well where needed.

I need a new radiator and also the aircon condenser/radiator.

Was thinking of putting on an aftermarket radiator on and from searches see there are Koyorad and Mishimoto... anyone got any experience with these? And is there anything else I should replace at the same time (all the fins are falling off the radiators, due to age etc, so wondered what else might be safer to replace).

Also, wheres the best place/brand to get of the aircon condenser/radiator?

Thanks

Hamish

Hi mate. If it was me I would get an oem rad and as for the coolant rad I would either go for koyo or check out the rywire rad

thanks very much for that... so standard on the aircon rad? That was my thinking.

On the coolant rad, think I've found a discount on Koyorad so will probably go with that.

Thanks again.

I ended up choosing the Tegiwa radiator as it was cheaper than a Blueprint or OEM one https://www.tegiwaimports.com/tegiwa...nda-s2000.html - well made, neat welds and hasn't had any issues so far.

For the condenser I'd be inclined to go for a pattern part as it's kind of sacrificial anyway (unless you put a Zunsport grille in - see Group Buy section for details)

thanks Ben... those condensers look reasonable... I shudder to think how much an OE one costs haha.

How much were you quoted for an OE radiator? Managed to get a koyorad one, should arrive today... the tegiwa stuff looks good though.

Just itching to do a few mods to the car to bring it back up to the condition it deserves.

Yeah your rite about it being sacrificial, mine fell to bits when I was removing the ac system. I wonder if a light paint would help prolong the life a little?

Can't really remember, I think the best price for a Blueprint one was ~£180 - I didn't go to Honda directly as I have enough grey hairs coming through already

lol - I did warn you ! I think the cooling rad is a similar price - maybe nearer £450 or something, but still a comedy price

lol Ben, glad I sat down when reading my emails... The dealer should do some stand up, comical!

I got a koyo rad and updated cap today, looks good.

Toying with some silicone hoses... Thinking samco as they're pretty well known.

Calipers off for refurb and painting... New discs and pads all round... Next is alpine head unit, speakers and sound deadening.

Got a bit of a project going haha.
