Default Radio flap...........

Is yours getting tempramental? Sometimes mine works fine, other times the bloody thing simply won't open.

Any ideas what the solution is?

I have noticed the same thing. I think it was catching at the top near the vents. I pushed the base of the facia frame downwards (inside the door opening if that makes sense) and it has been OK since but I was going to have a further look if the problem comes back.

Its usually when the pins come out and the spring is loose, you will need to pull the surround out to fix it.

I had the same problem when I bought the car, garage couldn't fix it.

Took a close look and found there is a moulding line along the the air vent area which catches the edge of the door.
I ran the edge of a very sharp knife along the moulding to remove it.
(Knife at 90% and gently scrape the moulding line off)
Now works perfectly.

I rarely open mine TBH.

MP3s and Modifry dash controls mean I don't need access very often.

Mine does it when its cold - soon sorts itself out once the temp rises or I go over a bump
