Raising ride height - this will work right?

few years back I installed coilovers. I then got the height and geo setup by a professional.

I now want to raise the car up a touch (adjustable Meister R) 8-10mm.

If I loosen the collar the at the bottom of the strut, wind the body of the shock out until the said collar is say 10mm higher (i'll measure with a vernier), then tighten it back up, and repeat on all corners, that should give me an accurate and uniform height adjustment, yes?

Thanks

PS I know this will effect the geo. But i want to get the height where I want it before taking back to be re-aligned.

6 turns on all 4 dampers should give,=9mm >make sure there is enough thread.

Thanks mate.

Short of going too far - how will I know if threres enough thread?

on the cup there is normally a hole on the side to see the threads

Probably best to ask the Meisters for the minimum thread engagement, or check their installation instructions if one exists.
A word of caution about the method you described for height adjustment.
It does indeed work, but on some dampers you should never spin the damper rod since that could unwind the internals.
I have no idea if this is the case with these dampers though but if you want to be 100% safe you should only spin the lower mounts.
