Fitted and back to being perfect again.

The place that fitted it -renowned for their fabrication work and engine swaps- commented on how good the construction/welds were, high praise.

Noise wise, I think it's as quiet as before, possibly quieter at low Rpms? Slightly raspier at high Rpms too, only ever so slightly in both cases. I am very happy with it, will report back in a couple of thousand miles once it has bed in a bit.

I've had no problems with the O2 sensor at all, no spacer/CEL fix fitted. If you look at the mounting boss on the Berk it's already spaced well out of the flow and has quite a small entry hole so it's got a CEL fix built in to the design.

noodels have you got a Berk one ready to fit or another make ?

63 Berk HFC been on for month or so tried service plug bridge 2 or 3 times ect
I did not disconnect battery whilst un-pluging the O2 tbh
Another member had same problem and suggested spacing out with washers

I'm not sure I did the battery disconnect thing either, but what did occur to me is that there is quite an opportunity to break wires as the run goes over the transmission tunnel. Are you definitely getting a "catalyst below efficiency" trouble code ?
