Default There will be an S2000 Successor!

I have gleaned some information from a reliable Japanese source, who was talking to Minami San at the Geneva motorshow. Minami San is the creative director of the new NSX concept.

Mr Minami clearly said there will definitely be an S2000 successor one day. He also told me that he finally got permission of his wife to purchase the S2000 successor just before the [previous] project was stopped. He was so sad because the design proposal of that car looked so great. Let's all hope Honda will proceed from right where they've stopped at that time.
So what do you think the successor will be like? Reckon it could be something like Autocar reported in 2010?

Can't see it being imminent, but you can bet it will look dreadful it its designed for the masses.
I doubt ever again we will see Honda design a car for the enthusiast, the green market is their fodder now. If a "sports car" surfaces, it'll look something like a car your mum would buy..

An S2000 for 2015? It would have either a very efficient or hybrid drivetrain

I like what fiat are doing with the twinair, evolution not batteries and motors and the weight that comes with it

300bhp, 1200kg and something special is whats needed

It would return in FI only, just like the CTR will be later this year/next year.
Whatever it is, it will be wimp against the F20C

That thing in Autocar just looked like a squared off Audi TT with the grill upside down.

S800 died 1970.

S2000 commenced 1999.

Draw yer own conclusions.

The comment about the cancelled car was interesting. But cancelled cars are invariably the best thing that never happened, funnily enough!

Sounds crap if it's anything like that article. About as exciting as a Nissan leaf.
