New Roof and rear window upgrade
So I’m planning on a new roof in April, it’s due! - my 19year old plastic window roof is starting to tear in places where it cannot be fixed. So taking the plunge, new roof and change to a glass rear window. My question is how easy or difficult is it to get the new rear window connected up so it demists when it needs to. I take it that my 2001 doesn’t have the wiring to make it work. Anyone done this or knows someone who can. I have done a forum search but had nothing come back in the searches.Cheers Rich

you need a switch and a relay, the oem honda switch is expensive and rare so i have never bothered
you can buy the parts from Honda, if available, but they are pricey
hardtopguy sells some parts, whether he still ships to uk i dunno

cant tell your MY but only later cars had the glass and so only later kits will include the wire for that potentially? just HT wires would need a mod

check your HT connector, you might need to send him a pic.
i imagine the kits for early cars (by vin) are HT only so unless the connector is the same for your glass softop screen it wont have a connection for that?
i think it was 2004 before the solid rear screen came in, the later switch wont fit an early centre console will it?

Hi,
My s2000 is a march '01 and I've recently rewired the whole of this circuit. If you are fairly hands on its not particularly difficult.
All you need is a roll of wire, a relay, a fuse holder (you can use terminals if you wish but a fuse holder is nicer), a switch and a number of terminals.
I can post a more in depth response if you need.
