Just sort the paintwork and refit.
this is a really bad idea it will create more corrosion on more than just the wing they just need a light coating of a waxoyl type protection then refit the liners

Nope, just the bonnet as far as I'm aware.

I have rusting where the liner doesn't quite meet the edge of the wings and so have been exposed to stone chips. However, it is the rear arches that are showing the substantial rust issue.

Scary thread for a prospective new S2000 owner.

Are they all going to rust from the inside out, or is it mostly ones that have been kept outside that this affects, rather than those garaged everyday of their lives?

They all will but ultimately the scale of decay is driven by the amount of saltwater the car has seen in its life.

Same as any Honda really. I can't think of one that doesn't rot.

My friends DC2 and DC5 are awful.

I don't have any on the fronts but do on the rears
I had them done along with a full respray last year, rust came back after a month, took it back, same, I didn't take it back again

My old car was garaged for the 10 years I had it, but both arches suffered, as did the join on the sill on the passenger side, and there was also some more rust on the windscreen surround.

Also remember that if the drain holes are clogged they overflow in heavy rain and right underneath is the box section of arch that commonly rusts from the inside out, the part in front of the rear wheel.

Moral of the story, check your hole....
