Always a subtle difference when that lower bit is done - car looks great! Just had a quick flick through the thread - who was the body shop and what was the final cost in the end?

The work was carried out by Longmynd Classics in Church Stretton (South Shropshire). They did 2 of the Car SOS restorations, a 34' Morgan F4 and a 63' Alfa Giulia Spider. Both builds are in the case studies on their website.

Their final bill was £2300, I supplied the donor panels.

The work included,
Replacement of inner arches + repair to o/s donor panel.
Replacement of outer arch sections.
Fabrication of new fog light brackets.
Paint to rear arches, boot lid, rear bumper and blended in to door and sills.

Great guys, very friendly, and gave regular updates with pictures as each stage was completed.

That's an insane price considering you would pay this for a respray. I think that was worth every penny!

They did say it would be about another £1500 to do the front. Repair a bit of damage on the bumper then paint Bumper, bonnet, front wings, and then I guess blend the doors up to where they blended in the other direction.

Hi guys, I'm getting the wheelarches of my S2000 looked at this week (and pretty much a full respray as I seem to have three shades of Silverstone on the car after various touch ups over the years!) - we've discussed permanently removing the wheelarch liners as they effectively hold the moisture against the wheel arch, instead using some form of rubberised anti stonechip coating. However, that exposures the headlight units, from memory.

Thoughts?

Bad idea in my opinion. You'll get stones and all sorts of shit flying around in there.

Just sort the paintwork and refit.
