Default Rear caliper replacement - surrey/london

Does anyone have any recommendations for somewhere I can get my rear calipers replaced in the Surrey/London area?

Why not do a refurb swap using brakes international or similar?

I don't but you could post them to someone like BiggRed. About 10 day turn around.

My front two cost me £140 for a full refurb and coated black.

I did my rear caliper myself using one of the refurbs from Brakes International. Took a couple of hours, and is the first one I've ever done. It's very easy and cheap. £130 with a £30 rebate.

Absolutely any little garage could do it. If you can't stomach the parts prices the garages will quote get some refurbs from Brakes International and get your local independent garage to fit them.

It's such a simple job it's not worth travelling for.

I've got hold of some calipers and I will be giving the diy a go today.

Any recommendations on brake fluid?

So everything went very easily. No issues with the handbrake cable. I thought it wasn't possible but I found if you push the level with an open spanner then hook on the cable, you can then push (with the spanner) against the part of thr lever which slightly protrudes out of the handbrake cable hole and lever backwards and it'll just pop in.

First side took about 1.5 hours of learning as I went and second side took about 20-30 minutes. Very easy job.

I did my back in in the process so I left bleeding the brakes for another day.

Handbrake needs adjusting too
