Rear lower ball joint replacement
Just abit of information for anyone requiring a replacement lower ball joint for the rear suspension. Honda do not sell replacement ball joints and if you opt to go down the honda route you will need to buy a new hub.
I'm currently finishing off polybushing the car and during this process i have had to pop most of the ball joints. Both rear ball joints became damage by the splitter because of the force required to pop it free (12 years of corrosion)
Anyway i did some searching and all i could find were the hardrace ball joints which retail at £100. I managed to find out that Honda Accord ball joints will fit if you press the ball joint out. I brought these ball joints and i have just finished installing them without any issues. Pretty much identical except for having to use a circlip on the replacement ball joint. I found it easier removing them with the hub off the car but you can struggle and do it in situ.
Here is the blue print part number for the ball joints i have used
Blue Print ADH28609 Ball Joint
£30 for the pair seems good value compared to £100 for two!

Great info!
Just one thing I can add to this; if there’s nothing wrong with the balljoint (and you’ve just split the boot perhaps) you can get replacement and correctly fitting boots for a couple of quid.

If you are interested i used a cheap ball joint press kit to fit the balljoints
4 in1 Ball Joint Service Auto Tool Kit Car Repair Remover Installer 2WD & 4WD and with the use of a grinder i managed to modify one of the cups to work correctly on the back of the ball joint. Its a handy tool to keep in the garage! especially if you need to press out some bushings.

I opted for the energy suspension bush kit from Tegiwa, seemed pretty decent. I used the Mugen bushes for the compliance bushes because i read that the polybush versions dont generally work. Its a shit job thou, not one i would ever want to do again
