Default Rear shock leaking

Just got through the MOT no advisories, except one - rear n/s shock leaking.

MOT man said I should get it swapped sooner rather than later - so I looked on eBay and there are a few options....

Cant justify full set of coilovers, so will go for a decent 2nd hand one...

Question is - are they all teh same? They look like they mount the same, but is the damping/spring rate the same across the board?

I have a 2003, and there is a 2005 one that looks Ok...?

2005 are softer IIRC, and you would want to do them in pairs IMHO.

Poop - I will def have to get the pair if they are softer! Seems odd though - but I guess its to make the ride a bit more comfortable..
