Rear Tire Wear
I just noticed my rears are down to 3mm at 12K and wondered how typical that is and what sort of mileage other people are getting with different driving styles.

I'm not sure yet but I think you should put another category for 6 to 8000 miles. I know I have done a pair of rears in at 6,000 miles before now.

Haven't replaced the tyres in my ownership as yet but they were new when I bought it and my MOT place has just said they're approaching the legal limit so I'm going to go for 12 - 14k.
EDIT: These are mostly motorway miles and not a great deal of hard driving so that would explain why.

Can one of the mods add an extra line?

Wait for StevenHaggisMuncher to pipe up!
I generally got 8-10K out of a set of rears, with a mix of motorway driving and fun weekend stuff.
I'll edit the poll to add 6-8K, but Steven will say it's not enough for some of the rears he's had
