Default Rear tyre advise.

Hey everyone. I'm gonna get a new set of rear tires for my s2k. I'm just looking for some advise on which tyres other owners buy. I obviously want something with as much grip as possible.

Thanks. Dan

Depends on your budget and use of the car really... I can recommend Toyo t1r's and advise against pirelli zero Nero's...

Dan,

This is a question that gets asked a lot. Please use the search for this sort of thing. Here's an example of what turned up in a search for "tyres" https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=816091

However, if you look here, under "Event" there are some good options http://www.s2kuk.com/s2kuk/Benefits/Suppliers.php?cat=5

Personally, I'd try and keep my front and read tyres matched.
Maybe keep the rears matched with the front this time and then when all 4 need replacing look around for a different option.

I use the standard bridgestones.

I'm thinking of trying Hankook V12 EVO K110's when I change next. I'm fed-up with lack of wet grip with the Bridgestones. Has anybody got these on and what do you think of them? Half the price of Bridgestones.

+1
best sport mid-range available in my opinion

had them on a 270bhp 200sx and gave good grip, traction for launches, fairly good tyre life too.

Does the Falken FK 452 have the same side wall stiffness because I'm looking to get a rear tyre with a softer side wall than the Bridgestone like the Hankook?

Just put a new full set of the Falken FK 452 on my S. Had a real chance to play with them today and I am impressed so far. I will need to put some serious miles on before making a final judgement, but so far they feel very good.
