Default Rear wheel arch edge trim

I had a bit of touch-up on the paint by the NS wheel arch a few weeks ago and when i washed the car today, there was the black trim... gone. I'm guessing the sprayer did replace it - because it's not the first time i've washed the car since - but not properly. The nice thing is that it was not hiding any nasties, just a few wee bits of surface rust.
Any tips on refitting - so it doesn't fall off again? A bit of waxoyl on the edge underneath the new trim or will this make it more likely to detach? Should i check under the other side or leave well alone?
Is it a bit of U shaped generic plastic trim or a horrendously expensive honda part?
Thanks.

I remove mine 2x or more a year to remove dirt, it builds up after time and holds moisture<=good to promote rust>

Remove, clean, fill with underseal to keep the moisture out and the rust at bay, refit and wipe off the excess.

I believe they've got a bent metal former inside them and if you remove them, it stretches and they fall off when you re-fit.

Glue it back on with underseal/get a new one/make something up.

Throw the other one away, they are water traps.

Please don't listen to this advice , They only become water traps through poor maintenance, they protect the wing edge against gravel rash as stated above remove clean and refit it's the collection of crud that never gets cleaned off that holds the moisture

Thanks for all the advice. Replace and 'glue' on with underseal seems to be ther concensus. Any info on part(s) required?

Best thing to do is buy a couple from Honda, they are about £20 each. They will fit much better and will stay on as they haven’t been premolded.
