Default rebuild - rods

Ey up

I am about to do a re build on my engine due to low comp in 1 and 3 and have heard from a few sources (but crucially with no experience of the f20) that the rods are a weak point on the bottom end.

So before i trouble the man in know and apply sturdy sheffield steel in rod form to the bottom end, has anyone acctually had an issue with stock rods?

rev to 9.5

Ta

Tom

Never heard any issue with rods at NA power. If your pushing for every drop, some light weight ones are good but everything in the engine tells me wherever possible, stay OEM.

Presume you're going overbore on standard pistons?

The stock rods look far better made than half of the aftermarket 'upgrades' I've seen...
