Red Brake Calipers
Hey everyone, i looking to get red brake calipers for the s2000. My car is Black with red leather so thought it would look pretty cool if the calipers were red!!!
Anyone got any pics of their S2k with this colour combination and suggestions of how best to get them done?
Cheers Nick

Can this be done whilst the calipers are still on the car, or is it best to take them off?

I've just done this on mine. It's not a difficult job but it is time consuming grinding the casting marks out to get a smooth finish prior to application of the paint. I used Savage caliper paint on mine (see my sig) and have s2000 decals on the front from ebay.
The process can be done with the calipers in situ, however, it's only a couple of bolt to remove the body and since I was upgrading the pads and brakelines I painted them off the car.
Just make sure you have the right tools prior to starting ie correct size wrenches if you are removing the calipers and grinding tools (dremel). the caliper paint is quite thick and recommends 24 hours between coats. It will take a couple of applications to get full coverage so plan for 3 days of having the car off the road if you use this paint.
There's plenty of threads on this so search the forums for a detailed guide.

The paint I had had to be used within 24hrs once mixed and could be reapplied after 2hrs. I gave it 3 coats within the day and left it overnight to dry. Can't remember what make it was now - purchased it off Aquila.

Anyone got any pics of Black car with red or black calipers to help me make up my mind....was going to go for black as my S is black and might get some black wheels at some point...plus like the low key look...but hey i have a red/black interior so guess it wouldn't hurt to go a little bit more 'in your face' with the red calipers....
