Is this for an OEM unit and just the internals and rubber buttons or is it a replacement fob?

Mine are rubbish so could do with sorting it out before they stop working and then I can't disable the immobiliser!

I just did this too!

its the same casing as the OEM (minus the sticker) and it basically consists of the plastic casing, 2 new rubber buttons and a new battery - you undo the screws on your old one and just drop the circuit board into the new casing. simple!

makes such a difference to have new buttons!

fyi a new complete fob is £42 and according to them needs the a working remote to programme it - although i'm sure i've seen a guide on here that says you do it with a complex system of key turns and precise timing...

Ah ok so basically you use the existing circuit board for the original fob and then drop it into a new housing that has new buttons? Or have I read that wrong?

Yeah basically it's a new case and button. My buttons have litterally disappeared. I'm now pushing yellow buttons directly on the circuit board.

The free battery is a bonus too

One of the first things I did after picking up my S! Much nicer to use when unlocking/locking up!

I have just ordered a refurb kit for my existing fob, and I've ordered a complete new fob for a spare also.

THe lady on the phone was very nice and helpful, and to be honest, seemed to know a lot more than my local honda "stealer" does about these keys too!! She's including full instructions on how to re-code, etc also.

Anyway, refurb kit and complete new fob for £54 including P&P - bargain!!

If all goes well, a great contact to have, Honda wanted to charge me £250+ for the same deal!!!

Mine turned up today, it says Porsche on it!

Nice a textured though rather than the polished scratched fob I have now with dissolved buttons

Yep, great contact - my two refurb kits turned up today too (both say Honda )

Very handy indeed as the buttons on one of mine are nearly non existant!
