Default Removing Hardtop Fixing Kit

Hi there,

Any guides on how to remove the hardtop fixing kit?

Will I need any replacement parts to replace the parts I remove?

Cheers,
Jamie.

There's an installation guide somewhere on hardtopguy's website.

Seen other pdfs of the installation of it too, so i'd just use one of them backwards

Hi Jamie, you won't need replacement parts.

You will need a 10 and 12mm socket from memory.

First prise up the plastic kick panel on the drivers side and remove it, then remove the rear plastic panel behind the seats (there's a bolt behind each of the plastic hooks) Then pull the plastic panel off and you should have the side catcher exposed. Should be 4 bolts holding it in. Remove them, remove the catcher, then replace all the bolts in the same holes and refit everything. Then repeat the other side.

X2 its as simple as that Jamie, really is straight forward. From memory the only tools I needed were a 10mm and 12mm sockets, extension bar and a philips screwdriver.

You might need the hole bung if you are removing the heated screen connection and loom though.

Bolts are the same lenght. I've always re-used OEM ones.
