Removing seats
I'm replacing my seats with some from a breaker that are in much better condition. Is there anything I should be cautious of, such as seatbelt pre tensioners going off in my face etc?
If anyone's done this, I would appreciate some feedback. Cheers  |
Simple.
Lower roof - remove 4 bolts on base (14mm IIRC) of seat and remove carefully avoiding contact with interior. I've done it when spring cleaning :p. Just cover the centre console and steering wheel with a cloth. |

There is a plug on the underside for the seat belt sensor as well, so don't forget to unplug that, and mind the paint work with the seat rails when lifting them out of the car. |
Unhook the seatbelt from the shoulder clip ..
I almost dropped the seat down the side of the car when it caught. |
simple and easy really

When replacing the seats - is there a certain torque that the bolts need to be set at?
Please excuse my technical jargon - I am clearly an expert :D |

Hmmm, I think I may have unplugged that some time ago, as I took the seat out recently and didn't unplug or plug anything :thinker: I can't visualise any plugs there either. I wonder whether I've accidentally put the carpet over it when I quietcoated the floor pan 12-18 months ago?
I know my 00 certainly doesn't have it. |
